Just met another client and same story - "Went abroad and instagram and venmo hacked."
Ok if you're going abroard, there are many things you can do but here's my advice at the minimum of what to do:
1. Don't login to banks, facebook, etc. on other computers, especially those at hotel. Bring your laptop, phone or tablet.
2. Try using your phone cellular/hotspot service amd avoid wifi
3. If you do use WIFi, activate VPN (virtual private network) software before you connect to any website on your phone/tablet/computer. The monthly pricing is about $5-$10 and it's easy to set up. There are many and I only recommend any one of these at ths link. I personally use ProtonVPN.
